Whenever I read books like this, I end up smiling and shaking my head. I think people get what they deserve when they make choices based on their genitals instead of common sense, especially if those choices hurt innocent people. Whether in fiction or real life, I have no sympathy for cheaters. Cheating, to me, comes from selfishness, insecurity, and a lack of respect for someone who trusted you. If you’re unhappy, just leave. Don’t ruin someone else’s peace because you can’t be honest.
Cutthroat shows how betrayal can really change people. If you push someone too far, keep lying, and underestimate them, you shouldn’t be surprised when things fall apart. Every action has a reaction, and this story makes it clear that everyone faces the consequences of their choices.
The drama kept me hooked on the audiobook, and I even caught myself talking to the characters a few times. Some people have to learn things the hard way.
This was an entertaining, messy, and tension-filled read that kept me invested until the end. If you enjoy relationship drama with plenty of twists and a healthy dose of “now why would you do that,” Cutthroat is worth adding to your listening list.
