Stranded (Only from Audible) by Chris Bruno had all the makings of a hit with its intriguing premise and an impressive all-star cast led by Taraji P. Henson and Tracee Ellis Ross.
However, the narration often felt over the top, with Henson and Ross’s performances overshadowing the story rather than enhancing it. While the short runtime and supporting cast kept me listening, the exaggerated delivery made it hard to fully connect with the humor and emotional beats.
This audiobook serves as a reminder that even the most talented ensemble can’t guarantee a standout experience. Overall, it’s an entertaining but uneven listen, earning a solid 3 stars.
