The Final Child tells the story of a Serial Killer named “The Father” who had a town turned upside with kidnapping children from their beds. Erin was one of “The Father” victims who survived the ordeal, but her brother, Alex, was never seen again. Erin is determined to move on with her life and try to forget everything until she meets Harriet. No matter how much we try to leave the past behind us – it always has a way of showing up in our lives.

The Final Child starts as a simmering read, but my favorite genre is Mystery/Suspense, so I enjoy “peeling” off each layer of the story. I felt the author was repetitive in some parts of the book, but it didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment of this book. If you love Crime documentaries, mystery, and suspense – this is the book for you.
