Cookie is a genius—Milk, a daredevil. Cookie loves math and science. Milk loves adventure and adrenaline. What could two little girls who are nothing alike possibly have in common? Follow this dynamic duo through their skateboard stunts and tubular-tastic surfs to discover what lies beneath true friendship. Michele McAvoy has created a genuine story that breaks stereotypes and is sure to entertain, excite, and endear young readers and parents alike.

Cookie & Milk have different interests & personalities but still are the best of friends. Cookie is a brown-skinned girl who loves learning and who is never without her notebook. Milk is a caucasian girl who loves adventure. Even with their differences, they show readers that you don’t have to like the same things to be best friends.

This book shows young readers that embracing each other’s differences is an essential part of friendship. The title reinforces that too because we all know you can’t have Cookies without Milk.

I recommend this book!
