One of the reasons you will never hear me say that I’m jealous of another person’s relationship or ever label a person’s relationship as my goals is you never know what goes on behind closed doors. If you ever labeled someone’s relationship as #GOALS – I suggest you read this book.

Before I give my thoughts on this book – I suggest you avoid all synopsis of this book. I’m glad I did because it added another level of suspense.

From the outside, Jack and Grace have the perfect marriage. All of their friends are envious of how attentive Jack is to Grace’s needs. From the extravagant gifts, trips, and the house he built from the ground up – Jack has all of the traits of the perfect guy. But everything is not what it seems with this pair. It doesn’t take long before the ugly truth is revealed.

I will stop there. The tricky thing about writing a review for a suspense book is you don’t want to give away too much. I’m not a fan of reviews that reveal so much of the plot that it leaves nothing for me to discover.

The author does an exceptional job of connecting the dots between past and present events that led up to the character’s current situation. Author B.A. Paris also does a phenomenal job of dropping subtle clues throughout of the book. I was on pins and needles trying to figure out how this book would end.

Behind Closed Doors is the type of book that will have you up all night, because you are invested in the characters and their well-being. I highly recommend this book.
