Casey and Rachel have been best friends for as long as they can both remember and live two very different lifestyles.

Casey works for a huge celebrity gossip T.V show and seems to have the perfect life. Rachel is your average stay at home mom, with two teenage daughters and a toddler. She has the whole white picket fence thing going on and contends with a lot on a daily basis. Casey has a hectic schedule and hasn’t had much time to spend with her best friend lately, but they do manage to attend their twentieth High School Reunion together. The reunion causes Casey and Rachel to take a hard look at their current lives and begin comparing their lifestyles. This causes an argument to erupt between the two friends so they decide to have a few drinks at the bar and try to forget about the conversation. The next morning they both wake up with more than a hangover, Casey and Rachel wake to find that they have switched bodies and lives. A magical intervention at it’s best.

Your Perfect Life by Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke was a very fun and light read that had me smiling at every turn. I really loved that this story had a twisted Freaky Friday feel to it. Casey and Rachel start off thinking the other has the easier life, but both come to realize how hard each of their lives really are and how unfulfilled they both seem to be. This was a great story and I loved the introspection that went on with both ladies, in many ways they come to realize after being friends for so long, that they do not know each other as well as they thought. The situation made them become closer in some ways but at times pushed them further apart. They also got a better understanding of one another and it gave them a new outlook on life. This was a very thought-provoking read that will bring a big smile to your face. I recommend for anyone looking for a light, entertaining read that’s sure to get you thinking “What If”?
