The House on Sunset by Sarafina Bianco
4 Stars

The House on Sunset is a memoir, a collection of reminiscences, scattering the ashes of a broken home and putting each to rest. Each chapter is a different glimpse into the cycle of domestic violence.

Everyone could fall victim to abusers.

Review

The honesty and transparency with which this book was written used the gift of writing to open up a world that makes many people uncomfortable. Domestic Violence is a daily occurrence in the lives of far too many people. The word choices, vivid imagery and blatant depiction of the emotional, spiritual and physical process through with the main character travels is utterly incredible.

This book is not entertaining, but it is a phenomenal tool for anyone who deals with any area of Mental Illness and low self-esteem. It is a stark reminder of the necessity to be real with one’s self and to be healed before trying to heal someone else. I would not hesitate to recommend this book.
