Forced to exist in a loveless marriage, Beatrice Warrington was powerless to stand up to her husband. So instead, she takes her anger and frustration out on those closest to her. After years of treating her loved ones horribly, she finds herself alienated, desperate and alone. Terrified, she reaches out to the only man who’s capable of helping her out of the mess she’s created. And she will soon discover he will help her in ways she never imagined.

Charles Allen never expected the likes of Beatrice Warrington to land on his doorstep. For years he despised her because of her devious ways, so helping her was not an option. But a crazy thing happened. Against his better judgment, he agrees to come to her rescue. Little did he know, rescuing her would be the best thing to ever happen to him.

Review

Everybody deserves a second chance to love, to be loved, to be accepted, to be forgiven, and to be happy.

The only thing I’d going to point out is a few things that kept this from being a perfect read. The flashbacks were simply placed in between what’s currently happening. Grammatical sins here and there and spelling errors for about a word or two were seen but aside from those, this book is love.

This book told the story of how it’s never too late to change. If you’re really intent on your metamorphosis, people will see and they will accept you with open arms. There’s always this threat that people might actually not be open-minded about your plea but you should try to give it your best shot nevertheless.

This also told about how it’s never too late to love, to find your true love. To hell with the consequences. If you really love someone, you’ll do everything for that person.

This book is heartbreakingly beautiful. Beatrice’s past has been so rough and she’s a tough woman to survive through it all and she’s a strong woman to admit her mistakes and be determined to make it all right.

Four stars! Whatever you want to do today is never too late to start it. Do it with your heart, be sincere, because life will be beautiful if you smile at it.
