NINE LIVES
KIKI SWINSON

Wild-card Aiden. Dead-shot Ava. Efficient, fast, and brutal, this notorious brother-sister hit team grew up abused, unwanted—and in lethal tune with each other. Killing nine targets in ten days will be their biggest score yet. But as Ava sets up their final target, she falls hard for him and a chance at a normal life. And that's a betrayal she may not live to regret . . .

THE CRUSHED ICE CLIQUE
NOIRE

At first all ghetto princesses Honore and Cucci want is quick cash-flow. But after sexing jewelry distributor Slimy Sam and learning his illegal tricks of the trade, they assemble a crack team of thieves for one dazzling scam. Replacing diamonds with fakes and selling the reshaped real deal on the black market is making them crazy-rich. But when Sam double-crosses them, these diamond divas must survive to steal another day . . .

In the first story titled Nine Lives, we meet Aiden who is about to reconnect with his twin sister Ava. Aiden has been locked up in prison and has lived a rough life that has caused him to become, for lack of a better word a psycho. Ava does not want him knowing anything about her life because of his possible reactions and that makes this story a page-turner. They get caught up in some drama that had me on the edge of my seat until the last page. KiKi is an excellent writer and I love everything she has written so far.

In the second offering by Noire called The Crushed Ice Clique, she continues the drama with a great story about diamond thieves that was also a page-turner. Noire doesn’t miss a beat in this tale of bad girls who are in the diamond trade and when a man named Sam tries to double-cross them discovers he has messed with the wrong women.

Both stories are great and the writing tight as you expect if you have read anything by either author. I highly recommend you buy this book I loved it!

  1. Sounds like a good read, didn’t know they had something coming out. Will be adding this to my TBR list.
