Review

“Hot Flash” by Carrie H. Johnson, is a hot book. The tale of Detective Muriel Mabley grabs your attention from page one and holds it until the last written word. As a female Forensic Firearms Specialist, her job is often full of explosive judicial experiences. But these are nothing compared to the heat that is trembling just beneath the surface of her personal life.

Holding deep, dark family secrets that include murder, mob connections and a family member who is believed to be dead, but whose return to the land of the living creates deathly possibilities for. Detective Mabley is a woman on fire. Then comes the hot flashes that make everything even more explosive.

This is well-crafted book and it is almost impossible to believe that it is the Author’s debut novel.

Highly recommended.
