The Last Heist Kiki Swinson

Shannon Mitchell gambled that betraying her husband's biggest heist ever was her way out of the game for good. Losing that bet put her in lockdown--and at the top of Todd Mitchell's revenge-fueled hit list. Now she'll work every seductive move and lethal play to survive. 'Cause when it comes to wreaking her own vengeance, this devious beauty isn't taking any prisoners. . .

Caked Up De'nesha Diamond

Harlem Banks already has twenty-five million reasons to break out of the federal pen. But saving his desperately ill daughter is at the top of his list, even as he's racing his ex-partner-in crime to his stashed loot . . . while U.S. Marshals are hot on his trail. His only chance is the one woman he can't stop loving--even if she's the one endgame he'll never escape. . .

Review

The Heist 2 by KiKi Swinson and De’Nesha Diamond brought out the “Bonnie” in me. These stories are most definitely an updated version of Bonnie and Clyde.

The theme for both stories is “No Honor Among Thieves”. And it fits perfectly. This is a story of backstabbing, greed, deception betrayal and love.

Shannon and Todd’s story is a “What’s love got to do with it” tale. Of course, I’m team Shannon but Todd turned me into Suge Avery at the end…” even sinners have Souls too.” Okay, Todd didn’t have a Soul but he did have a little love in his heart.

I loved Harlem and Johnnie. Talk about a ride or die Chick? That’s Johnnie. I loved the back story of all of the Characters in this story. I fell in love with all of them but my heart belongs to Uncle Jonathan and his crew. Those OG Cat Daddies had me laughing in every chapter they were in. I felt like I was on a “ride along” with Harlem and Johnnie. This story proves that you can’t help who you fall in love with. The heart wants what the heart wants, and there’s nothing you can do about it.
