REVIEW

Judith “J.J.” Isaacs is finally living her dream.  She is working as a back-up on the hottest tour in America. She is living out of her suitcase and loving every minute.  Unfortunately, life has an amazing wake-up call. JJ’s sister-in-law, Sheree, estranged from her husband, JJ’s brother, is having a complicated pregnancy.  Rayshawn, JJ’s on-again off-again boyfriend and manager is pressuring JJ to make decisions for his best interest instead of her own.

With Sheree’s pregnancy in a precarious state, her doctor wants to monitor her closely.  Enter Dr. Massri.  Dr. Simon Massri is renaissance man.  He volunteers all over world in addition to his duties at the local hospital.  As fate would have, he would once again cross paths with a woman who captivated him, Judith.  Several years prior, Judith and Simon we’re stuck in an elevator in Paris.  It sounds romantic except Judith suffers from panic attacks.  Simon was there to keep her calm.  Unfortunately, once the doors opened, they were separated until now.

JJ is dealing with her family stress as well navigating the entertainment world.  You see her ups and downs.  You see her family’s unity as well as JJ finding herself.  This was one read I couldn’t put down.
