REVIEW

In this story, Paul Wall’s life is in shambles. He loses his job, his self-esteem and as a result his marriage is a wreck. Ginger, his wife of twenty years is so unhappy that she has thrown herself into raising her daughter, and it seems she has little zeal left for Paul. She doesn’t recognize the man he’s become and neither does Paul. In order to spare Ginger the misery of living with him, Paul asks Ginger for a divorce.

Weeks later the unthinkable happens, and Paul regains his zeal for life and devises a plan to win his wife back. One thing that never changes is Paul’s love for wine. Through a series of spontaneous events, you get to take an in-depth look into the lives of Paul & Ginger Wall, both of their mothers and their daughter, Helena. Trust me, it is a journey that you want to take with them.

“The Truth is in the Wine” is the first book I’ve read by Curtis Bunn. With this novel, he has gained a fan! The characters were great, and the story took several turns and unfolded in surprising ways. I developed a greater appreciation for many things while reading this book: family, fine wine and honesty. As you read each chapter, you will find that the truth is definitely revealed in the wine! I loved it!
